  • Genale Dawa III hydro power Project is located at the boundry of Guji and Bale Zones, in the State of Oromia some 650km from Addis Ababa. Currently, the overall work on the project has reached 91 percent.

  • Now adays, the rate of urbanization has been growing dramatically demanding a better life. By this effect, cities exposed to host as many as people specially Addis Ababa. Due this, much amount of homestead wastes has collected and thrashed without proper waste disposal management resulting exposed to air pollution as well as unpleasant environment.

    The government of Ethiopia doing its level best to curb the problem focused on bilateral objectives. The primary objective is to generate electricity from waste substances. On the other hand, to dispose accumulated wastes properly dumped over different areas of the city.

EEP was established in 2013 by the Council of Ministers Regulation No.302/2013 as a result of restructuring earlier Ethiopian Electric Light and Power Authority (EELPA) in 2 different companies.
